Hi, all! I'm 32, and have been playing D&D for 25 years. I've played every edition of the game, except 4th, and numerous other RPGs as well. I've read 4th edition, but never plan on running or playing it. I live in the Dallas area. I'm married to a non-gamer. We have 5 children, ranging from 11 years to 10 months (twins) old. My oldest 3 are all interested in RPGs. I've made a few attempts to run games for them and one of their friends, but my work schedule (nights and weekends) and my oldest's performance at school (D&D is a privelidge, not a right) have caused a lot of road-blocks. Hopefully, I'll be starting a new game with them soon.

To that end, I've been thinking a lot about miniatures of late. As anyone with a family knows, working extras like this into a budget can be a challenge, especially if you're a single-income family. Even the mass-packaged pre-painted plastic minis are expensive, and you never know if you'll get what you need in the package. In addition, if the party is fighting a horde of goblins, but the minis manufacturer only used two or three different molds for goblins, it can become frustrating trying to remember which one Goblin 1, or Goblin 2, or Goblin 13 is. I'm working on an extremely low-cost alternative, which I'll share with this community when I've completed it.
